Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - The Hollywood Costume Exhibit

Jewelry presentation at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Deborah Nadoolman Landis, Kathleen Lynagh House and Larry McQueen

Recreating jewelry for Larry McQueen, the owner of The Collection of Motion Picture Costume Design was one of the most challenging and interesting projects in our studio. We were commissioned to make three unique pieces of jewelry that would be used for the The Hollywood Costume Exhibition at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles.

The original jewels have been lost over time, so we re-created them just for this special collection of costumes.

Mr. McQueen and I delivered the gems and helped install the jewelry under the careful supervision of the curator and designer, Deborah Nadoolman Landis.

The following links will help you understand how they were made.
